Piano Tuning Project

As a secondary specialization, Wenhao actively explores the many possibilities of the piano through tuning, maintenance, and rebuilding. This deeper study into piano mechanics allows him to connect more intimately with the instrument.

In 2021, he was invited to present at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music with a piano tuning focused project titled, "The Game Between Human Ears and Artificial Intelligence." The next year he was invited to present at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Wuhan Conservatory of Music, with a second piano tuning focused project titled, "The Integration of Traditional Piano Tuning and Artificial Intelligence," which highlighted the discernment and execution of combining traditional methods with AI assistance.

Currently, Wenhao continues to enhance his skills in piano tuning, maintenance, and rebuilding under the guidance of R.P.T. piano technician Christopher Purdy at Ohio University.
